Just a strong match for a quick break in Hensol with value for money. Dinner took a while but the ambiance was nice. If you can, avoid busy hours for service and meals.

I had a lovely stay in a spacious Four Poster Room, enjoying the historical charm of the building and the picturesque garden views. The dining experience was a standout, particularly the breakfast, which featured locally sourced produce and a variety of options. Staff were pleasant and attentive, enhancing the overall ambiance of my visit. I noticed some areas in need of maintenance, like the damp patch in my room.

The grounds are stunning, especially for photos! The gym and spa were well equipped, perfect for relaxation after a busy day. We had fun exploring the beautiful old building with tons of character. Loved the cozy lounges with log fires!

Stunning wedding venue!

We went for a wedding, and it was just beautiful! The grounds are perfect for pics, and the staff were super friendly. The food was a mixed bag—a great main, but the starter didn't impress. Our room was spacious and comfy, but those weird signs about the water were odd. Still, the gym was a bonus!

I loved strolling through the beautiful gardens that are absolutely stunning, and the short drive to St Fagans National Museum of History made for a perfect afternoon of exploring fascinating exhibits.

Had a fantastic getaway with friends! The grounds are gorgeous, and you can easily explore nearby attractions. The staff was super friendly, and the breakfast hit the spot. We even enjoyed the local gym and the peaceful vibe of the area.

The only downside was a cold shower during our stay, which wasn’t ideal, but we managed to have a good time overall.

Charming place, comfortable room, for a weekend getaway, the free Wi-Fi and accessible car park were quite convenient for exploring the area.

The heating system left the rooms frigid, even during the winter months!!! Poorly maintained fitness facilities detracted from an otherwise relaxing experience. Elevators are nonexistent, making access troublesome for those with mobility issues!!!

The themed dinner nights offered a fun twist, and the gardens look stunning. Unfortunately, the service at breakfast was slow with limited options.

Couples looking for a charming escape

We had a lovely time, really. Janet the receptionist was warm. She went above and beyond, helping us navigate our stay.

It wasn't exactly cheap, but I guess acceptable if you’re looking for charm.

Cottage style was unexpected but the food was quite good. No Wi-Fi issues.
